The guitar and vocals pierce through the mid range and upper mid region. Although some of the sound effects and percussion do have some high frequency content, the highs are somewhat disregarded in comparison to the deep low end and constant thickness filled out by the didgeridoo and other bass elements. Dimension — Overall the track has Distant Temple (Kalya Scintilla Remix) very deep sense of dimension.
With so much going on all the time, the dimensions of the song must remain deep to re frame from becoming too crowded. The real instruments and constant elements like kick, snare, guitars, kitars and didgeridoo all seem very close and intimate whilst the psychedelic sound effects remain out wide and fairly far back in the mix.
The vocals appear slightly behind those Distant Temple (Kalya Scintilla Remix) are drenched in reverb, which gives a distant feel. Behind everything is the soundscape created by the pads.
Very reverb and delay heavy are the pads in the background which sit way behind everything. Parts where the percussion and psychedelic effects drop out and let the organic instrumentation take over become really intimate with the vocal and guitars. The Hook — The hook for me is the organic instrumentation.
Mainly due to the difficulty to remember all the individual sound effects. The guitars and kitars and marimba type instruments really give the track an awesome organic and real feel to it that draws me to the track and provides a very intriguing balance of ethnic and electronic. The Journey — The journey is mainly the changes in instrumentation and vocals, the mood of the song changes with the different melodies created the result is a very different and compelling journey.

I love hate this! How does this work? Why would I participate? The feeling was mutual for sure. Aumega really did an exceptional job and we are very pleased with the result of the collaboration. PsyAmb : I grew up in Australia and was lucky to attend some great summer outdoor festivals in my youth.
How was your recent Australian tour? DD : We had a really exceptional time down under. The people are so friendly and the nature is breathtaking! You Australians really know how to party and have a good time!! PsyAmb : Your tour for the new album kicks off real soon. How are preparations going? What can people expect from the show? DD : Expect awesomeness to unfold perfectly! PsyAmb : Outside of music and performing what do you guys enjoy doing when not in the studio or on the road?
DD : Outside of traveling and working in the studio? Is there such a thing? Is it related to where you guys are Distant Temple (Kalya Scintilla Remix) DD : We both grew up in desert climates, organizing electronic music gatherings deep in the desert landscapes, under the full moon and the stars.
PsyAmb : I love listening to ambient music and credit it for healing me at a time when my physical well-being was under attack some 10 years ago. How effective do think music is as a healing tool? DD : Music is certainly one of the most powerful healing tools, as proven time and time again in the medical profession.
We feel that one of the most important aspects of music that makes it healing is the intention behind the music when it was created. When you give your music the intention of it having a healing effect on the listener, it will have so much more power and effectiveness to obtain that result. PsyAmb : How is your workload shared when creating music.
Do you work on tracks in total unison each time or are each or you responsible for different structures, sounds, melodies, basslines etc? DD : We like to work on our own and pass projects back and forth until the track is complete. We initially got into the habit of working that way versus working in unison because for most of the collaboration we lived in two different states, and passing projects back and forth was the only way we could get things done. We kick of with a track from Hinkstep who had a great 2 01 5 where he topped a number of Reddit's best of Psybient polls.
Check out the full poll list here. It was great to see Entheogenic's "A Singularity Encoded" ra nk so high - certainly my favorite psybient album of This is followe Distant Temple (Kalya Scintilla Remix) up by a soulf ul, glitchy, lullaby from desert Dwellers with vocals from Ixhel Prisma. AtYyA has gone from strength to strength since his debut with his mix of melancholic, glitchy bass proving popular worldwide.
Deya Dova has a large back catalog of music and has been remixed by quite a few artists over the y ea rs. For more info visit the Deya Dova homepage. Next up is an awesome track by Whitebear and Australian musician Tara Wals h. When I first heard this I was blown away by Tara's voice and thought she must be some famous singer.
So I was very surprised to find out that wasn't the case. She only has a handful of followers on Soundcloud. I ' m sure with the right break she could be huge. Anyway, this is a phenomenal remix by Whitebear so check out his stuff for more bass good ies.
