It's a shame April Wine couldn't release this in the U.S., but I was lucky enough to hear Joe Anthony play it and I searched it out in Imports to snag my copy. "You Opened Up My Eyes", "Lady Run", "Cat's Claws" and the title track /5(31).

Electric Jewels didn't spark a hit, although the power-driven guitar punch of "Weeping Widow" gained a moderate amount of radio play in Canada, as did the semi-ballad "Lady Run, Lady Hide.". ~ .

Electric Jewels is the third studio album by Canadian rock band April Wine, released in November The persistent percussion and howling vocals of opening track "Weeping Widow" evoke comparisons to Nazareth and fellow Canadian rockers Rush. April Wine would go on to tour with both of those acts, as well as open for The Rolling Stones, scoring numerous platinum and gold-selling .
