referencing The Further Adventures Of El Chico, LP, Album, A, AS Very underrated impulse gem on the cheap side. Chico being very democratic here (as usual) and let’s his band fellows shine, and how they do, on several tracks. Clack Terry lays down a wonderful, hard swinging solo in his signature style on the opener, Jerome /5(72).

EL CHICO and FURTHER ADVENTURES OF, are almost indistinguishable, except the second album has more instrumental colors on its palate. Chico's overall sound reminds me of the Beatle's playing "Til There Was You", ie, a very pop feel, mid tempo sedate sounding, no "OUT" melodic passages, no fast frenzied latin rhythms like you hear on some afro-cuban jazz/5(26).
