Our lyrics are all mostly confessional and intense, and they draw from emotional experiences in our lives that are not always easy or fun to access, so the humor keeps us sane.
It's good to shine some light amidst all the darker stuff. A : We love how authentically us this album feels.
We've finally found our sound, and we feel like it's a cohesive piece from start to finish. It's a true rock album, rather than a collection of singles or a random smattering of different vibes. Also, it's badass. Q: How do The Fuzz help realize your vision, and do they help with writing songs? A : The vision belongs to everyone, for sure. Everybody brings in ideas in whatever stage of development, and we build the songs piece by piece as a team.
No joke, we try every single idea that is brought to the table, and sometimes we vote if we can't agree on the best direction. Sounds weird, right? With us, it flows so smoothly -- it's almost too good to be true.
Lyrics-wise, Chris and I handle those as a team. It helps that we are married and know and trust each other so deeply. I've written lyrics to full songs as if I am Chris! Q: Your home away from home has become the Court Tavern. What do you like most about playing there and for Brittney Dixon?
A: Brittney is one of the coolest and most innovative figures in NJ rock right now. She goes that extra mile to find local bands, listen to their stuff, and then curate shows that make sense Gates (4) - Parallel Lives (CD and flow together. She's also a kick-ass individual and just so fun to hang with, and so are her friends and the regulars at the Court — bands and fans. Brittney is a front woman, too, for her awesome punk band Wolfasaurus Rex, so she knows the live music world from both sides of the stage.
She is a true trend forecaster, and she's single-handedly bringing back a rock scene in Jersey. In terms of our band, we've always felt like our music is such a mix of different influences, so we never quite knew where we fit. Brittney understood us and figured out where we fit right away. She's the truth! But he more than makes up for it a little later with a near operatic run that recalls Foxy Shazam, as well as My Chemical Romance and Queen.
The entire five-song record impresses, especially the harp playing of vocalist-lyricist Leila Bishop, a Mason Gross music student, and violin player Victoria Romano. THM: Now talking about your connection to Lebanon and the Middle-East, how harmful do you think the combination of religion and politics is in that region not only to metal and non-metal music, but to all forms of art?
And do you see an end to that in the future? It is a deeply rooted plague that is still being nourished by the west to control its masses and use it when and where needed. And what do your family and friends that are still in Lebanon think of the type of music you play? Can we expect a new Kaoteon or Death Tribe album in a not-so-distant future, and do you have any plans for touring with any of your bands around Europe or in North America?
I would love to see either Kaoteon or Death Tribe performing in Canada. THM: Thanks a lot for your time, Anthony! Worst moments of the album: Psychopathetic. Sabaton - Carolus Rex Quadruple platinum in their homeland - released in both English and Swedish language editions - Sabaton here rose to the challenge of soundtracking the rise and fall of the Swedish Empire, with particular emphasis on their military leader, King Charles XII.
Symphony X - The Odyssey One was to plant their flag firmly in the very heavy metal camp, getting dense and raucous with Dimebag-damaged staccato riffage and tech-thrash chops.
Russell Allen added growls to his powerful vocal range and solos reined in the widdly excess, sharpening the songwriting and cementing their credentials among rivetheads.
